Social-Emotional Learning

We believe that social-emotional health is an integral part of a child's development. This is why we teach our kids about methods they can use to decompress and become more aware of their emotions and how to deal with them.

Welcome Wildcats

Welcome to our Expanded Learning Program! We are excited to have the opportunity to work with our Cesar Chavez families to provide our Wildcats with daily services that will help them reach their academic, socialemotional, and health-related goals. Our program also offers students opportunities for youth voice & leadership, active & engaged learning, and much more. As a structured program, we encourage families to review our expectations and procedures which can be found in our Parent Handbook.

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Thank you for your interest in the Expanded Learning Program. We are looking forward to working together with you to ensure that your child gets the most out of the services we provide.

We offer many educational and skill-building opportunities, all free to our participating students including:

Furthermore, the expanded learning program is a supplemental program that is not required for Parlier Students students. It is a support program that is optional, therefore it is a privilege for students to attend. All Expanded Learning Program students must follow the Parlier Unified expectations during their participation in the program. We will use Progressive Disciplinary measures, that can be similar to those used during the regular day, for students who are not following these rules. Students who are not able to consistently follow the rules after opportunities for correction and parent contact will be excused from the program. Please review this handbook with your students to ensure the program can best serve your family.

Please read the attached rules and fill out the required registration forms if you wish to enroll your student in the Expanded Learning Program. Enrollment is open to all students, so prompt return of all enrollment documents is recommended. Your student will not be registered for the Expanded Learning Program until we have received the required forms (including the enrollment form, parents/contract, in doctor's notes for allergy/medicine. if applicable) and you have been notified that your child has been registered.

We look forward to your child(ren) joining our Expanded Learning Program.
